Ketogenic Fat Bombs

Many people who enquire about the ketogenic diet are worried that they will miss out on treats. My chocolate fat bomb recipe will kill those fears forever.

The only problem you will have with this recipe is stopping at one!

Ingredients:

BASE:

250 grams macadamia nuts

100 grams pecans

100 grams grass fed organic butter

 

TOPPING:

250 grams full fat cream cheese

125 grams grass fed organic butter

3/4 cup organic cream

1/2 cup organic coconut oil

1/3 cup organic cacao powder

1 scoop Prana On chocolate protein powder

1 tbsp real maple syrup

Method:

 

  • Gently heat all base ingredients in a fry pan and toss until golden
  • When cool place mixture in a blender and mix until well chopped
  • Press mixture into paper lined slice tray
  • Place in freezer to set

 

  • Place all remaining ingredients in a Vitamix or high speed blender
  • Blend until well combined
  • Remove base from freezer and pour mixture on top
  • Smooth with a spatula
  • Place in the fridge to set

Another alternative is to skip the base and make small fat bombs with the topping only. Make as per method but instead of pouring to make a slice try pouring the topping into silicone ice cube trays. Place in the freezer then pop out 20 minutes before you enjoy! (A great option for those of you like me that cant control themselves with the whole slice!)
